This week, I want to talk about Spring- I want to talk about my friends at Value Painting
Today as I look outside, everything is covered knee deep in snow and I can barely tell where the road is—or at least, where it used to be. It is ice cold; enough to make the insides of your nose freeze with one breath of the chilly air. I don’t go outside if I don’t have to—not in this weather! Days like today make me long for the coming spring. I sit here bundled up in fuzzy things wishing for warm air, green grass, and flowers blooming all around.
But there is one thing I won’t be looking forward to this spring.
Spring Cleaning!
Don’t get me wrong—I love when everything is nice and clean and it’s not like I don’t like cleaning. It is just a hassle. I have tons to do on my list and only so much time, effort, willpower, oh yes—and arms! Elsa is sure to let me clean without hassle…
YEA RIGHT.
What kind of a baby would she be if she let me clean for days on end with no difficulties?? So I am short on time and energy… it couldn't be that bad, right? But it is in my mind at least.
I remember when my family moved into our home (where my parents currently live now). We moved in the winter and had so many plans for spring cleaning when it came around. Number one on our list was to thoroughly clean and unpack… But then there was the painting to do. Oh the painting! Every wall in the house needed to be repainted. I am not exaggerating. But painting is easy, right?
Wrong.
We got a few rooms done with the help of our Grandma—Thanks Grandma Judy! But we still had the living room to do. The living room is beautiful with vaulted ceilings and sun lights. We could not paint it without high ladders and long sticks!
So we put it off… and put it off… and put it off again. Long story short--It’s still not repainted!
Why? Because it is hard to do on our own! This is why painting the living room by ourselves is not going to work. Some people are awesome at painting houses on their own. Props to you if you are one of those people!
But we were not.
Little did we know at the time, that there are companies that do just that! They are professionals that come in and paint FOR YOU. They do it, not you. So you could be knee deep in spring cleaning with a baby attached to your hip, crying for a savior to please just let you get that kitchen repainted so that people don't have to stare at that kind of gross looking stain on your wall that may or may not be baby food… and that savior is just a phone call away. You can get your spring projects done—without two arms! These companies do large or small projects, inside or out! It is really great.
I wish I would have known a company around here when we wanted to paint our living room. Now there are a bunch of them. There is one great company, called Value Painting, that you can check out if you are from the Nashville, Tennessee area (I know some of you are… J ). There are a few more located in Green Hills, Belle Meade, and Bellevue. So if you have a project, make sure you check them out! You can also take a look at their website www.valuepaintingtenn.com! They have an internet special going on and spring is just around the corner.
Pretty soon, spring cleaning will be upon us. I know what I’m going to do… Less stress makes me one happy momma!
