So I'm obviously pregnant now. I'm seven months in and there is no turning back. I feel huge... From my jumbo tummy to my now unfortunately swollen hippo feet. I now waddle at the speed of a sleepy snail... usually because I need to pee and I am trying to make it to the bathroom without an accident. Or I am fearful that I might trip over my awkward hippo feet if I walk to quickly and I really don't have any idea how I would back up again. Actually, I am generally fearful of not being able to get back up... whether I am merely sitting in a couch or I have woken up in the middle of the night (for the 5th time and counting) with the INTENSE need to pee... again. Being able to get up, stand up, or even sit up is quickly becoming a funny thing of the past... When I was once skinny and could actually see my toes. I am not even to the "super huge ohmygosh you're going to pop!" stage yet. But I am huge... or at least I feel huge.
Speaking of being huge... A lot of people notice my bump now. And I have gotten confused, because I hear different things from each person. "Ohmygosh you're huge!!" and "Wow you are so tiny! Are you really seven months?" So I really don't know.... my doctor, however, says that everything is measuring perfectly. I think I will go with what he says... :)
Elsa's movements have become quite visible from the outside now... I sat at my job hoping that the students would not see my tummy creepily thrashing about like I was a victim of an alien body snatcher or had a bad case of parasitic worms. I mean... They obviously know that I am pregnant and carrying a human baby... not being infected by a large parasitic worm of course. But I am sure it would be a little creepy to see.
Elsa is moving around now like a small disco dancer or acrobatic monkey... ninja kicking and punching anything within reach. She makes my tummy violently shake with her movements. I am not sure whether she is moving because she actually enjoys the music that I listen to or is silently rebelling against it with sudden kicks of dislike... But she is a dancer... whether she likes it or she doesn't she is still moving along to the beat. :) Elsa loves to move most at night when normal human beings sleep. But she pretty much moves at a constant rate day or night... I am confused where these pregnancy books get their information when they tell you that your baby sleeps 16 hours a day in the womb. Elsa must be sleep dancing then. :)
So I have a newfound enemy... Baby registries. First of all, they take an annoying amount of time. Second, I have no clue what I am doing. And lastly, they may or may not disappear once you think you have everything done and added. I finally discovered an easier way than hand searching each item, so it went a little faster the second time around. My little sister is throwing me a baby shower soon and she asked me to register. So I did... or at least I thought I did, till I got a message from her asking why my Babies R Us registry was blank. What?! Blank?? Of course it was... So I spent my first morning of summer break re-registering at Babies R Us. Of course, now since the baby shower is right around the corner, no one will probably be able to even use the Babies R Us registry. Oh well... at least it is done and no longer blank.
And speaking of the baby shower... I am so very much excited for it :) I will definitely be posting about it here in the near future, so be on the look out! Till then...
